Our Story

Founded in 1968 on Beaconsfield Street in Newport, Pittwater Mowers began with a simple mission: to supply and service only the best outdoor power equipment available. What started as a small local shop has grown into one of the Northern Beaches’ most trusted names in lawn and garden care.

In 2007, we expanded by taking over Mowpower Manly on Pittwater Road, North Manly, and a year later opened a brand-new store in Terrey Hills. Together, these locations have allowed us to better serve our loyal customers across the region.

In 2014, we launched our sister business, Barbecues In The Hills, a Weber Specialist BBQ store under the same roof as our Terrey Hills location. This exciting addition brought together two great Aussie passions — a perfect lawn and a great barbecue!

2018 marked a major milestone with the relocation of our North Manly store to a larger, modern showroom featuring a brand-new workshop, dedicated car park, and its very own Weber Store — “Barbecues In The Hills – North Manly.” Later that year, we made the decision to close our original Newport store to focus on providing better service and space at our two remaining locations.

Since 2019, we’ve operated under a streamlined, two-store model — Terrey Hills and North Manly — both open 7 days a week and offering identical products, services, and expert advice, including our full Weber BBQ range.
